Recap BronzeLens Film Festival and LA Women in Film Festival

Our @filmindependent #ProjectInvolve short had its west coast premiere at #lawomeninfilmfestival@lafilmfestivals on August 17th. It was a small but mighty audience. I was so happy that cast and crew could come through to see it on the big screen.

Additionally, on August 22nd I flew to Atlanta to premiere our film to a Southern audience. May I say, the crowd’s reaction was so good. They laughed and talked back to the screen. Everything a director loves to hear. To add, our casting director Natasha Ward was able to attend as well with her film she executive produced and casted called “CPA” which starred her husband.

While I was at the festival I reconnected with old friends and new. Asha Chai-Chang whose pilot “Marque Dos” was nominated is a fellow member of the Alliance of Women Directors. Then I bumped into my elementary school classmate from Shelton’s Primary School (Kamala Harris is an alum as well) Maresha Robinson, whose film “Color of Autumn” premiered as well. Plus I bombarded my old USC TA Garrett Thompson who was premiering his documentary he produced too. There was love all around. I didn’t take enough pictures, but please believe I had a great time.

Thank you to both festivals for all their hard work and having us!
